This was my first time trying oil pastel drawing. This set is very colorful, and the oil pastels are beginner-friendly with just the right amount of softness and firmness. I really like it.

If you are looking for some oil pastels in the square brick shape, these are the ones to buy! They are soft and creamy but hard enough to take advantage of the square shape. The shape lets you make broad strokes, just like a large square oil painting brush, but the square corners also lets you get detail work too. Wonderful colors in the 48-Color Professional Square Brick Oil Pastel shape. I only wish that these oil pastels could be bought separately because I can tell that quite a few of these colors will end up being my favorite to use, and will not last long!
